He has quickly turned into a significant defender of free speech against governmental or judicial overreach.
Besides the monumental work he did in the magical Donald J. Trump presidential campaign, Musk is also not shying away from engaging foreign leaders over policy and free speech issues.

Many times, as with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Argentine President Javier Milei or Brexit hero Nigel Farage, the interactions are amicable and may evolve into business relations or even political support.

But many times, Musk can be adversarial against world leader that he feels are failing their citizens.

Musk clashed with Australian Globalist Prime Minister Albanese for his attempt to censor images of the stabbing of orthodox Bishop Mari Emanuel not only in Australia but around the world.

Elon Musk has also publicly criticized Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on several occasions, likening Trudeau to Adolf Hitler on his tyrannical repression of the Canadian trucker protests against COVID-19 vaccine mandates. He also recently called Trudeau an ‘insufferable tool’ who ‘won’t be in power for much longer’, after comments Trudeau made about Kamala Harris’s election loss being a setback for women’s progress.

Now, Musk is making striking political endorsements in Germany.

On the runup to Germany’s February election, Musk rejected the war-mongering of German mainstream opposition party CDU and its leader Friedrich Merz, and made a clear and unambiguous recommendation for the rightwing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party – one of the biggest bogeymen for the Brussels liberal establishment.

Elon Musk has harshly criticized German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, calling him a ‘fool’ (‘Narr’ in German) after the collapse of Germany’s traffic light coalition government, having often slammed the crippling, failed Globalist policies dealing with economic management, immigration, and the handling of the energy crisis.

Now, the question hanging in the air is if Musk will help the German opposition the way he has started to do with the upsurging British populist of the Reform UK.

Musk has had public spats with failing British Labour PM Keir Starmer, criticizing him over free speech, social media regulation, and political donations.

This past week, Juan Merchan continued his relentless assault on the Constitution and Country by openly defying the Supreme Court’s precedent, which reaffirmed and strengthened the doctrine of presidential immunity, from this past year’s Trump decision.

In denying President Trump’s motion to dismiss the case, Merchan has only prolonged the lawfare against him, further deepening the wound to New York’s legal system in the process.

The Merchan case – which the mainstream press has (improperly) called the “hush money case” (ignoring that hush money payments are not illegal, and have never been illegal, by a public official or private citizen in the history of American law) has been a complete mockery of justice from its inception.

As extensively documented previously in this newsletter, even before the trial, Merchan has been disregarding all legal norms, procedures, and rules – in the pursuit of a twisted, monomaniacal vendetta against a presidential candidate and now president-elect of the United States.

He ignored due process of law – and the regulations governing evidence and professional ethics – by bringing this case, which implicated federal issues that were already cleared by the Federal Election Commission, in state court.

Second, he denied President Trump’s attorneys their right to move to dismiss evidence – and the theory of the case – on Immunity (and other privileges, like attorney client and executive privilege) grounds.

President Trump’s attorneys had to navigate a legal landmine, including pending oral arguments for the Supreme Court’s Immunity decision, which commenced during the course of the Merchan trial.

The ultimate outcome on that Immunity case was not known until after the trial had ended. The Trump decision was officially handed down by the Supreme Court in early July; the Merchan trial wrapped up in late May.

Thus, there was absolutely no way to know how the Supreme Court would rule, for one, and the scope of the Immunity decision, for two, as the oral arguments for the Merchan trial were being made.

Thus, a generalized approach to Immunity — one that did not stake one’s bets entirely on an unforeseeable and as yet unrealized outcome, was in order.

That Merchan now apparently gripes that President Trump’s attorneys were not clairvoyant enough to read the minds of the Justices and see into the future, is what appears to be the basis of his complaint in the first few pages of the latest court order handed down this week.

Merchan, of course, does not care in the slightest about his slipshod reasoning and schizophrenic logic. Rather than be sympathetic to unknowables that President Trump’s attorneys had to deal with at the time as a matter of course, the rogue judge has doubled down on his invective.

In this latest court order, Merchan complained that the President’s legal team did not move to dismiss their case on time, a ridiculous claim in light of the above facts, which made these moves virtually impossible to make, given the cloud of uncertainty over the nature and scope of the Immunity decision.

Ultimately, the Supreme Court did uphold a robust and constitutionally consistent framework for presidential immunity: but that was not known until July, months after trial ended.

In the meantime, Merchan made a point in this latest order that the President waited until March 7^th to move to preclude evidence on such grounds, arguing that it was too late and should therefore not be given its due credence.

Never mind the fact that such a motion was made over two weeks before the scheduled trial date of March 25^th.

Furthermore, it was not the first time Presidential Immunity was raised: it had months before been invoked by the President’s legal team and detailed at great length in an omnibus motion filed with the court in September of the previous year!

The procedural quibbling by Merchan – exhibited at the start of his shameful 41-page order from the past week – is symptomatic of a much deeper betrayal committed against the public trust, and the duplicity with which he has carried out this sham proceeding from start to finish.

Merchan has casted President Trump’s attorneys in the vilest of terms, scolding them for all sorts of trumped-up problems – like bringing out a witness, in Robert Costello, who embarrassed Merchan with excoriating testimony that admonished the Judge for the miscarriage of justice taking place in his courtroom.

He did this while flouting the rules governing judicial ethics with absolute impunity: indeed, as discussed ad nauseam, his own family members, including a daughter and wife, profited directly from the trial by working for Democrat candidates who fundraised off the lawfare against President Trump.

The financial windfall that immediate family members of Merchan had to gain from this trial mirrored the abuses committed by Fani Willis and Nathan Wade in Georgia, the district attorney-prosecutor lovers, who joined forces to similarly attempt to take down President Trump — in what thankfully was a failed endeavor — and his allies through lawfare.

There, Wade, the prosecutor, benefitted from a smorgasbord of illegal perks: from being assigned to the case in the first place, despite lacking the legal experience or competence to prosecute anything more than a traffic court violation, to being given an absurdly elevated salary, to having used his office to take soirees to the Caribbean and other places, where he and Willis, his boss-district attorney-paramour, enjoyed intimate time together, on the taxpayer’s dime, to plot their hatchet job against the would-be 47^th President.

The old expression the fish rots from the head down proves true in each of these cases. Accordingly, because corruption animated each one of these cases, the lawfare against President Trump, which from the start was based entirely on politics, not deference to the law (as every single one of the accusations turned out to be utterly devoid of merit) was bound to fail.

As each legal domino tumbled down one by one – from Bragg to Willis to Jack Smith – they vindicated the fundamental claim made by President Trump from the very beginning: that no such wrongdoing, criminal or otherwise, ever occurred – it was always politics, politics, politics!

The Left has weaponized the justice system, colluding between federal and state actors, in coordination with Joe Biden’s Department of Justice, presided over by Merrick Garland, to engage in the ultimate form of election interference. The chickens have now come home to roost.

When that widespread effort came crashing down on November 5^th, with the President’s landslide victory, so too did we observe each one of the cases. The Merchan case, whose sentencing date was originally suspended after President Trump had won, now hangs on for dear life.

The idea of course is to keep the proceeding alive for as long as possible. Doing so offers a legalistic pebble in the shoe of Donald Trump’s presidency, one that Merchan – in his delusions of grandeur – believes can potentially sabotage the President, politically if not legally, by casting a long shadow upon his administration – replicating the equally phony “Russia, Russia, Russia” farce in the first term.

In his twisted mind, Merchan – backed by Alvin Bragg and Letitia James – sincerely believes that he can keep this case on a slow boil for the remainder of President Trump’s time in public life.

The goal for him, at this stage, is that once the President steps down from his duties in January of 2029, then Merchan can resume his Marxist power trip – and give the President the sentencing Merchan believes he deserves.

For what reason? Naturally, for winning two elections that he so apparently — vehemently — disagreed with, accomplishing success that he could never even approach in his wildest dreams.

Hence explains Merchan’s obstinance to drop this case, which gave this disgraced judge the public notoriety he never would have otherwise gotten in his whole professional career.

Merchan continues to demonstrate his woeful lack of legal knowledge by prosecuting issues on which both he and his court have absolutely no jurisdiction to rule. In addition to the federal election law claim (the putative basis for this case, which, again, received a clearance by the FEC years ago), Merchan has seen fit in this latest chapter of this seemingly endless miscarriage of justice saga to also ignore the Supreme Court’s own ruling.

Where the High Court reaffirmed – and fortified – the doctrine of Immunity, Merchan nitpicked portions of the decision he preferred, including non-binding concurrent opinions filed by other justices, to argue that Immunity, in fact, did not apply to this case.

He said Immunity did not apply because the actions did not fall within the outer perimeter of the President’s official duties, which is the doctrine of Immunity as articulated by the Supreme Court.

Yet, the evidence presented in Merchan’s show trial overwhelmingly did meet that criterion: many of the key witnesses were direct aids of the President of the United States — such as Hope Hicks and Madeleine Westerhout — when the alleged actions which brought forth this lawsuit took place.

Moreover, so much other evidence – from the privileged communications President Trump made with his then-attorney, Michael Cohen, to the social media postings the President made, while serving as president, about Stormy Daniels, Michael Cohen, and so many other key people and events related to this proceeding – decisively fell within the ambit of the Supreme Court’s Immunity doctrine. Obviously so.

The Supreme Court notably took a conservative position towards Immunity, carefully weighing the facts before it, and not swiftly abusing its authority by rendering judgments about what acts qualified under the doctrine of Immunity willy-nilly.

The point of this more conservative approach was twofold: one, recognizing that Immunity is a sweeping doctrine, most presidential acts fall within its broad stroke; it is thus inappropriate for any court, let alone the Supreme Court, to adjudge certain acts with a fine-tooth comb and disqualify them in so arbitrary a manner under the doctrine.

If any acts do not fall under the legal guarantee, significant deference must be made by courts to the doctrine of Immunity – hence the second reason for the conservative approach.

The Supreme Court’s doctrine is that most acts fall within the scope of Immunity; where ambiguity exists, the presumption is for Immunity, not against it – always.

Otherwise, the principles of separation of powers would not stand: the Executive Branch would be engulfed by the other two branches of government — to say nothing of the administrative bureaucracy — reducing the presidency to a ceremonial role.

Merchan, by sharp contrast, takes the opposite approach of the Supreme Court, which upheld those robust protections. He seems to think Immunity is “optional.”

He claims that it is basically a doctrine without teeth: somehow, conveniently, every single act that fell within the ambit of Presidential duties in the Merchan case – and there was quite a lot of qualifying activity – did not qualify under the doctrine?

Make that make sense! And that does not even touch upon the numerous other legal privileges and immunities at work: executive privilege, attorney-client privilege, deliberative process privilege, etc., all of which were likewise operative here, and should, under the court’s own time-tested principles and rules, result in dismissal of the case based on the myriad breaches of important constitutional protections made all throughout this charade of a trial.

The New York lawfare against President Trump resulted in some of the most egregious violations of the constitutional rights of any defendant ever committed in a public tribunal, and that is without exaggeration.

Due process of law, that foundational cornerstone of American justice which dictates the rights of criminal defendants that must be preserved – particularly when a strong, countervailing prejudice by society is in effect – was ignored with shameless abandonment.

The President never had the ability to challenge a grossly incompetent judge and tribunal. In the meantime, the Judge ran roughshod over the rules of evidence and canons of judicial ethics with the zeal of a runaway despot.

The elements of each alleged crime should have been systematically fleshed out, allowing jurors – however irreparably prejudiced – to assess and determine for themselves whether the evidence met the high burden of proof – beyond a reasonable doubt – required for conviction.

That never occurred. Nor was the President given the right to bring expert witnesses or raise objections sufficient to defeat the smears and character assassination attempts by the prosecution’s coterie of witnesses.

In every instance, his constitutional rights – including his First Amendment right to criticize unfair aspects of the proceeding, of which there were too many to count – were ignored, stomped on, or ridiculed.

Now, Merchan and co., hope to use what little power they have remaining, post November 5th, as a sword to thwart the President’s agenda, because they disagree with his policies – and, evidently, loath the Constitution.

What Merchan represents is antithetical to the core meaning of Justice.

The kangaroo show trial should offend any lawyer of decency – no matter his political affiliation – and not necessarily out of devotion to Donald Trump, who was just elected to be the nation’s forty seventh president of the United States. But the disrepute – and long-lasting damage – such chicanery will render unto the New York legal system in general.

The rights of every defendant are in jeopardy if this disgraceful precedent continues to be endorsed by the state’s lead prosecutor and attorney general.

Ultimately, this tragedy is not about Donald Trump, but about how our society views Justice, the pillar of freedom and democracy, particularly within the context of American constitutional governance.

If Justice is so cavalierly disregarded; if Merchan’s example of abusing its core tenets is granted with no reprisal, then our society deserves neither Justice nor Freedom, but the tyranny that inevitably overtakes the rule of men who abdicate the mantle of self-government.

Representative Chip Roy (R-TX) lashed out at his Republican colleagues during Thursday night’s critical vote on a continuing resolution (CR) aimed at preventing a government shutdown.

The House was considering a stopgap funding measure aimed at preventing a government shutdown and suspending the debt ceiling.

Before the crucial vote, Trump dismissed Roy as “another ambitious guy, with no talent” and called for primary challengers to oppose him in Texas in a series of posts on Truth Social.

Trump wrote:

The very unpopular “Congressman” from Texas, Chip Roy, is getting in the way, as usual, of having yet another Great Republican Victory – All for the sake of some cheap publicity for himself. Republican obstructionists have to be done away with.

The Democrats are using them, and we can’t let that happen. Our Country is far better off closing up for a period of time than it is agreeing to the things that the Democrats want to force upon us. Biden is President, and it’s his obligation to properly lead.

We’re there to do the right thing, and we can’t agree with what Biden and the Democrats are demanding.

Weak and ineffective people like Chip have to be dismissed as being utterly unknowledgeable as to the ways of politics, and as to Making America Great Again.

Put “America First,” and go for the Victory, even if it means shutting the Government down for a period of time. We had an overwhelming Victory just four weeks ago, and we’re not going to let the Democrats forget it so quickly!

Chip Roy is just another ambitious guy, with no talent. By the way, how’s Bob Good doing? I hope some talented challengers are getting ready in the Great State of Texas to go after Chip in the Primary. He won’t have a chance!

While former President Donald Trump lauded the newly negotiated American Relief Act of 2024 as a victory for the “America First” agenda, the bill was defeated in a 174-235 vote, with 38 Republicans joining Democrats in opposition. Some Republicans voted ‘no’ because the bill increases spending by over $100 billion, raises the debt limit for $4 trillion, and fails to provide meaningful spending cuts.

During the debate, Roy lambasted the legislation as a betrayal of conservative principles, accusing his party of abandoning fiscal responsibility.

Roy detailed his objections to the bill, including what he described as a $5 trillion increase to the national debt, $110 billion in unpaid-for spending, and the suspension of PAYGO—a mechanism designed to enforce budgetary discipline.

“It is absolutely ridiculous,” Roy said on the House floor. “I am absolutely sickened by a party that campaigns on fiscal responsibility and has the temerity to present this to the American people as fiscally responsible.”

“When I got through cancer about 12 years ago, I made a promise to my kids that I would do everything I can to save this country.

What we’re doing right now is doubling down on the things that are destroying the Republic. We are going to increase the debt ceiling—not just $4 trillion, as claimed. That’s false.

We have spent $4.7 trillion in additional debt over the last 19 months. We’re going to increase the debt by $5 trillion. That’s what’s happening here: Republicans are increasing the debt by $5 trillion.

And what are you doing in the same bill? There’s $110 billion unpaid for because you never have any ounce of self-respect to campaign on balancing the budget.

Then you come in here and pass $110 billion unpaid for, on top of the $200 billion you did for WEP.

You might not agree with that, but the fact of the matter is it totals $330 billion. Congratulations—you’ve added to the debt since you regained the majority on November 5th. It’s embarrassing. It’s shameful. Yes, I think this bill is better than it was yesterday in certain respects.

But to take this bill yesterday and congratulate yourself because it’s shorter in pages, yet increases the debt by $5 trillion, is asinine. That’s precisely what Republicans are doing. I am absolutely sickened by a party that campaigns on fiscal responsibility and has the temerity to present this to the American people as fiscally responsible. It is absolutely ridiculous.

This bill also turns off PAYGO. It negates $1.7 trillion in automatic cuts under PAYGO. This side of the aisle is profoundly unserious about reducing deficits, just as my colleagues on the other side are profoundly unserious about reducing deficits.

This entire body has been racking up debt for my entire life—$36 trillion now, with a trillion dollars in interest. We’re racking up a trillion dollars every 100 days.

What are we going to do about it? We’re going to talk about cutting taxes but not do what’s necessary to cut spending along with those tax cuts. My colleagues on the other side of the aisle will say, “Oh no, we need to increase taxes,” but they’ll do nothing to cut spending.

Here we sit in the same mess. I’ve got to be honest—I want to remind people, this is Article 1.”

Kamala Harris abruptly canceled her planned trip to Los Angeles late Thursday, opting instead to remain in Washington, D.C., as Joe Biden unexpectedly returned to the White House.

The sudden change in schedules has fueled speculation about a growing crisis in the Biden regime as it faces mounting challenges, including the possibility of a government shutdown.

Kamala, who was scheduled to depart from Washington at 9:15 PM ET for a late-night arrival in Los Angeles, canceled her trip midday without providing specifics.

The White House issued a terse press release confirming her decision, stating only that Kamala would stay in Washington to receive briefings and hold internal meetings, all closed to the press.

His return comes amid heightened tension over a looming government shutdown, with congressional Democrats and Republicans deadlocked over a critical spending bill.

Biden is facing increasing backlash for what some have called a “quiet quitting” approach to leadership during a fiscal crisis that could disrupt government operations days before Christmas.

The White House’s silence on the reasons behind Harris’s change of plans and Biden’s abrupt return has done little to quiet critics. Social media is buzzing with speculation about briefings on Hurricane Helene, as well as the possibility of Harris assuming the presidency sooner than anticipated.

MSNBC’s resident wingnut Joy Reid is reportedly facing the reality of having to take a pay cut as the far left network’s ratings continue to crash, following the 2024 election.

Reid apparently makes approximately $3 million per year, which seems awfully high for what she does. There are amateur people on YouTube who get more views than she does.

Her colleague Stephanie Ruhle is also facing a pay cut.

MSNBC’s Joy Reid and Stephanie Ruhle will reportedly need to take a pay cut if they want to remain in their anchor chairs as the struggling cable network continues to cut costs.

The left-leaning news channel — which recently gave star anchor Rachel Maddow a $5 million-a-year haircut from her annual $30 million haul — has been negotiating with Reid and Ruhle on new deals at reduced salaries, according to the Ankler newsletter.

The controversial Reid is believed to be earning $3 million a year to host her nightly 8 p.m. show, “The ReidOut,” according to the Washington Free Beacon.

Reid, who has been with the network since 2011 and in primetime since 2020, recently raised hackles again with a pre-Thanksgiving rant in which she accused Republicans of worshiping Donald Trump “instead of Jesus.”

People were surprised to hear how much Reid makes.

Crazed purple-haired Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro has become the latest Democrat to melt down over the influence of Elon Musk.

In a speech on the House floor on Thursday, the representative from Connecticut complained that Republicans are “scared” of Musk and that he is responsible for a possible government shutdown.

“They got scared, because ‘President Musk’ told them. ‘President Musk’ said, “Don’t do it. Don’t do it. Shut the government down.” Imagine!”

“What does he know about what people go through is when the government shuts down? Are his employees furloughed? Hell no. Is he furloughed? No. And when you shut the government down, people don’t get paid.”

“And maybe if none of us got paid if the government shut down, some people on the other side of the aisle would feel differently about where we’re going in this effort.”

“We had an agreement. But you know, this is not different from what we’ve experienced over the last year and a half or so.”

Musk, who is arguably the most influential person in American politics besides Donald Trump, was a vocal opponent of the proposed $1.7 trillion spending bill negotiated by the embattled Speaker of the House Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) and he urged lawmakers to vote against it.

As reported yesterday by The Gateway Pundit, the bill includes provisions such as a $69,000 annual pay increase for members of Congress,  $900 million for a new football stadium in Washington, D.C., provisions to fund 12 new biolabs, 72 pages of “Pandemic Preparedness and Response” policy and continued funding of the pro-censorship Global Engagement Center (GEC).

“The more I learn, the more obvious it becomes that this spending bill is a crime,” Musk wrote on the X platform on Wednesday. “It even includes funding for the worst illegal censorship operation in the entire government (GEC)!!

On Thursday night, the House failed to pass a new proposal backed by Donald Trumpl to fund the government into March, raising the possibility of a shutdown ahead of the Friday night deadline. The final vote was 174 to 235.

Former CNN talking head Chris Cillizza has apologized for ignoring Joe Biden’s declining mental health, a thing that was completely obvious to anyone who was paying attention.

Who knew journalists were capable of shame?

It’s ironic to hear this, given the way the media treated anyone who raised the issue of Biden’s age and condition for years, right up until the moment they couldn’t cover it up anymore.

A former CNN pundit has offered a mea culpa for shrugging off concerns about President Biden’s mental decline.

Chris Cilizza, who served as CNN’s editor-at-large before leaving the network in 2022, spoke candidly about his lack of journalistic curiosity about Biden’s condition to serve following a pair of damning reports this week from The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal that shed light on the president’s diminished state.

“As a reporter, I have a confession to make,” Cillizza began his “apology” on his YouTube channel Thursday. “I should have pushed harder earlier for more information about Joe Biden’s mental and physical well-being and any signs of decline.”

Cillizza acknowledged how Republicans would “regularly ping me” during his time at CNN, asking him why he hadn’t addressed Biden’s decline and how he would “brush them off” since he had not seen “evidence” of the president’s decline.

And not only did he admit to taking the word of the White House, he conceded he felt guilty of “age shaming” Biden.

Nearly 10,000 Amazon workers in multiple states went on strike Thursday morning, less than a week before Christmas.

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters announced in a news release it launched its strike at seven Amazon facilities located in New York, Atlanta, Southern California, San Francisco and Skokie, Illinois.

“If your package is delayed during the holidays, you can blame Amazon’s insatiable greed. We gave Amazon a clear deadline to come to the table and do right by our members. They ignored it,” said Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien.

“These greedy executives had every chance to show decency and respect for the people who make their obscene profits possible. Instead, they’ve pushed workers to the limit and now they’re paying the price. This strike is on them,” he added.

Fox Business reported the strike came after Amazon “ignored the union’s Dec. 15 deadline to negotiate new contracts for higher wages, better benefits and safer work conditions.”

Fox Business Network host Neil Cavuto asked O’Brien Thursday why the union workers chose to strike the week before Christmas.

O’Brien said that Amazon had ignored its demands to meet and negotiate a contract for over two and a half years.

“Collective bargaining is all about leverage. This is our leverage. This is our pinch point,” he said.

“Amazon doesn’t respect their workers who make them the success they are, and the Teamsters Union is going to hold them accountable.”

Cavuto countered that Amazon employees are among the highest-paid retail workers in the country.

In September, the company announced it was increasing its total compensation package for fulfillment and transportation workers to more than $29 per hour, an increase of over $3,000 a year for the average full-time employee. That figure included an average base salary of $22 per hour, plus the cost of health care and other benefits, the company said in a news release.

O’Brien told Cavuto, “These people are not being paid a liveable wage, they’re getting minimal benefits, if any, and it’s a disgrace, and it shouldn’t be allowed to happen. And this company is worth $2 trillion.”

“Amazon’s got a duty to bargain, and they should sit down and bargain in good faith,” he argued.

Amazon is the second-largest private employer in the country, behind Walmart, with over 1.6 million employees, the Gwinett Daily Post reported in July 2022.

CBS News reported that Amazon spokesperson Kelly Nantel responded to the strike in a statement saying, “For more than a year now, the Teamsters have continued to intentionally mislead the public — claiming that they represent ‘thousands of Amazon employees and drivers.’ They don’t, and this is another attempt to push a false narrative.”

She added, “The truth is that the Teamsters have actively threatened, intimidated, and attempted to coerce Amazon employees and third-party drivers to join them, which is illegal and is the subject of multiple pending unfair labor practice charges against the union.”

Fani Willis is fighting back after a Georgia Appeals court booted her from the Trump RICO case.

As reported earlier, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her entire office were disqualified from prosecuting Trump in their lawfare RICO case.

The appeals court did not throw out the charges, however, Fani Willis and her office have “no authority to proceed.”

The Georgia Appeals Court disqualified Fani Willis because of an appearance of impropriety.

Fani Willis asked the Georgia Supreme Court to intervene later Thursday after she got tossed from the case.

WSB-TV reported:

Channel 2 investigative reporter Mark Winne spoke exclusively with Willis on Thursday following the ruling as well as the defense lawyer who played a key role in removing Willis from the case.

“You are the defense attorney that raised in court the issue of DA Fani Willis’s relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade?” Winne asked attorney Ashleigh Merchant.

“Yes, I am. And we were very surprised but happy to get the opinion today,” Merchant said. “I knew that once we had our day in court, we would be meritorious.”

Winne also spoke to Willis by phone.

“We’re asking the (Georgia) Supreme Court to review the court of appeals decision,” Willis said.

She said hopefully the Supreme Court will take this decision up for review and said she does not agree with the decision.
